The Black Plaster is one of the external treatment patches in Chinese medical, since thousands of years, it has been mainly used for external application to heal the sick. The back plaster is made of vegetable oil, herbs and Lead(II,IV) oxide, so it is also called the lead plaster. Usually, the black plaster is solid or semi-solid at room temperature, so is should be heated to make it melt slightly while using. Followings are the using tricks of the Kongdy black plaster.

01. How to heat the Black Plaster

If the room temperature is below twenty degrees Centigrade, the black plaster should be heated before using. The method of softening is to pour a cup of boiled water, put the plaster at the mouth of the cup fumigating for 30 to 150 seconds until paste stickiness appears. Attention to that, the heating time is based on the weather. The Rheumatalgia-relieving plaster (30 g rectangle) can be baked with a baking lamp or blown on the back with a hair dryer. Before applying the plaster, if it is a cloth-mounted back plaster, cut the four corners of the plaster into a circle to reduce the possibility of edge warping.

02. How to prevent allergies

Before sticking, it is best to wipe the affected part with ginger slices (where should have no ulceration), so as to prevent allergies, and pores are more easily absorbed by plaster after opening, also the ginger juice can be used as well as ginger slices.

03. How to avoid staining clothes

After applying the plaster, wrap a bandage around the plaster or stick two pieces of tape to prevent the plaster from sticking to the clothing.

04. How to remove the plaster residue
